Community Outreach and Engagement About Community OutreachThe Ohio State University has defined "outreach and engagement" as a meaningful and mutually beneficial collaboration - partnering education, business, and public and social service. The concept of "outreach and engagement" represents that aspect of teaching enabling learning beyond the campus walls, that aspect of research making what we discover useful beyond the academic community, and that aspect of service directly benefiting the public.
