MSW Field Practicum Work-Study Option

This option is intended for employed students who have a work setting suitable for field practicum instruction and who wish to utilize the work setting to meet the field practicum requirement. The prescribed time, between two and three days per week, will include new activities supervised by an appointed agency field instructor. The agency and the College of Social Work will negotiate performance expectations, field instruction time, and supervision for interested applicants. A work-study practicum can be completed in a single agency for a minimum of eight credit hours and a maximum of twenty-six credit hours. No academic credit is given for life experience or previous work experience in lieu of the field practicum.
