The Master of Social Work (MSW) program prepares students for entry into advanced social work practice. This 90-hour program consists of three principal parts: a foundation curriculum that provides the knowledge, values, and skills common to all social work practice, advanced concentration courses in either clinical or social administration practice, and an extensive field practicum experience.
The College of Social Work offers a number of curricular options:

First year students spend a portion of their winter and spring quarters completing a 320 hour field practicum in a community agency. Second year students select either a clinical or administrative concentration. The second year empasizes advanced practice and includes a 720 hour field practicum occuring over all three quarters.
