
Welcome to the College of Social Work’s Office of Development
By providing learning opportunities for students, promoting a spirit of continued inquiry, and empowering both students and faculty to engage in sound research and scholarship, the College is creating “social champions” and touching the world. Our mission, to find solutions for the challenges faced by our communities and the individuals, families, and groups who live within them, is realized through the education of talented students who will become the next generation of professional social workers; pursuing research and scholarship that will inform social welfare policy and social work practice; and providing service to the professional community to ensure that we remain attached to “real world” issues that face government and social service agencies.

By supporting our faculty and students, you are helping The College of Social Work contribute significantly to the University’s Academic Plan by preparing future social workers to succeed in a culturally diverse world. We do this by training them in tested, evidence-based interventions that can be applied to a large number of groups facing the challenges presented by society and their personal situations.
